Hollywoodstar Kevin Spacey has pleaded not guilty to historic sexual assault charges. The 62-year-old actor appeared at London’s Old Bailey to enter the plea, which relates to alleged offences committed against three men in London and Gloucestershire between 2005 and 2013.
Spacey was working as artistic director of the Old Vic theatre at the
time. He faces four charges of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. His lawyer has said Spacey “strenuously denies any and all criminality in this case”. The trial was set for June 2023, and Spacey remains on unconditional bail until then.
